Pastor Todd Smith came to Christ at age 25 at Etna UMC in early 1999. Immediately following conversion, he was immersed in the youth ministry and discipled by the associate/youth pastor. From 2001-2004, Pastor Todd was the youth pastor at The Gathering, a church plant in Millersport, OH, where he met his wife Alasyn. Todd and Alasyn relocated to the Logan area in 2004 and have lived in the area ever since.

Through his Christian life, Pastor Todd has been involved with many outreach ministries, such as street evangelism, prison ministry, volunteering at a mission in Columbus, etc. Pastor Todd also headed up the Hope Acts/Living Hope Fellowship ministry from 2018-2024 in New Straitsville. It was through the ministry of Hope Acts that he became acquainted with the saints at New Hope Church.

Prior to the call to pastor at New Hope, he attended Turkey Run Mennonite Church with his family, where he was an ordained evangelist with Rosedale Network of Churches and an elder at Turkey Run. Todd and Alasyn are the parents of Abigail and Ezekiel.
